GeorgiaStandards.Org proudly partners with Verizon Thinkfinity in order to provide educational resources for classroom use. Using Thinkfinity.org, teachers will find primary source materials, interactive student resources and grade-specific research lists to help them tailor materials for each student’s instructional needs. Thinkfinity.org also provides educational and literacy resources for parents and after school programs.
All of Thinkfinity.org's 55,000 standards-based K-12 lesson plans, student materials, interactive tools and reference materials are endorsed by the nation's leading education organizations to ensure that content is accurate, up-to-date, unbiased, and appropriate for students.
Thinkfinity draws upon the strength of its Content Partners, who produce a wealth of discipline-specific, standards-based educational resources. Targeting the needs of educators, Georgia will begin to offer Thinkfinity Professional Development courses in the fall of 2008. Courses will be made available through our state network of ETTCs. A customized Professional Development program will feature Thinkfinity’s rich resources aligned to the GPS and easily shared within public and private groups. The GSO Thinkfinity Professional Development program is designed to: • Provide teachers with the tools and materials necessary to locate and effectively use online resources. • Help educators work with their peers to create useful instructional plans • Meet educators' needs for high-quality training with measurable results.
