Quality Core Curriculum (QCC)
Since 2002, Georgia’s vision under the leadership of State Superintendent, Kathy Cox, has been to “improve student achievement by providing a guaranteed and viable curriculum, the Georgia Performance Standards.” The Georgia Performance Standards have been implemented in all core content areas and have demonstrated their rigor and relevance for preparing students for today’s world.
Below are the remaining QCC’s in PDF format that have been migrated from the Georgia Learning Connections (GLC) site. The migration to GeorgiaStandards.Org was completed on July 1, 2008. The GLC web site is no longer available.
Sequenced Lesson Plans
All Sequenced Lesson Plans that were aligned to the QCC Standards are no longer available. At the top of every page on GeorgiaStandards.Org, the menu bar allows educators to link to all core content areas (math, science, social studies and ELA). In the dropdown menu, select the Frameworks page. The Frameworks have model units for each subject that span a full year in a similar manner that the GLC sequenced lesson plans did.

GLC Lesson Plan Builder
The GLC Lesson Plan Builder has been permanently disabled. In order to promote and support the new Georgia Performance Standards (GPS), new web-based tools have been developed that include new search capabilities, additional resources and a new Unit Builder with which to create performance-based instructional materials. The new GaDOE Unit Builder includes a variety of framework/templates in a user-friendly, web-based interface. To access the GaDOE Unit Builder template you need to apply through the link below.
